Into Bed I said! ♥

I'm not sure we ever feel so loved, safe and comforted then when we are being tucked into bed as a child. Its easy to reprimand a squirmy child who hesitates to lay his/her head but its short term gain, long term loss.
Its much more beneficial to you and them to take a moment to comfort them and make bedtime special. They may never have the same feeling in life again.

Puppy Love

One of my most magical memories growing up was waking up to kittens in my bed.
One year when I was at the magical (horrific, grumpy, attitude) age of 13 my mom thought it had been too long since I had spent some time with my Dad. Dad lived in what I thought to be a small and boring small town with the dreaded new girlfriend. Despite my reluctance (screaming and door slamming) I found myself in a all day care ride up north. We arrived late and I went straight to bed, swearing to not enjoy a minute of the visit. The next morning I smelled bacon and potatoes cooking, Bob Marley's (Three Lil Birds) playing in the kitchen and fought the memories of a happy childhood when my parents were together.
I heard my Dad's familiar whistle nearing my door and immediately pretended to be asleep, he was probably coming in too yank open the curtains to let the sunshine in and sweep the covers off my bed.....he always thought that was hilarious......UGH!
Instead I heard him creep in, drop something on my bed and retreat, closing the door behind him......"oh god" I thought.....what could it be? A lame book or something equally horrific to a teenager......all of a sudden whatever was at the end of the bed started moving. Just as I sat up I heard the first "mew"......KITTENS, 4 teeny tiny kittens that he had found in the back yard shed.
Needless to say, that was one of the best visits I had with my Dad.
Just when I thought nobody could POSSIBLY understand me I remembered I was a Daddy's girl, near or far.

So imagine my excitement when I was asked to baby sit my sister-in-laws puppy. When i got home JoJo happened to be napping.......and I bet you know what I did.......

Gilroy Gardens Holiday

Wow.....thats what comes to mind when i think about this past weekends trip to Gilroy Gardens. It was truly magical! Every inch of the park was covered in lights, holidays music played though out the whole park and despite the cold.....we all had a amazing time!

The boys were awoken from a nap (hence the fuzzy hair) and strapped in for a ride!

The entrance to the park.....note the fake snow and festive walkway!

Holding hands, waiting for their first ride!

The fish were a favorite!
I loved that most of the rides were geared towards toddlers so they could ride safely without mom!

Next stop....dining hall. It was beautiful and the food was really good. fresh carved turkey, apple crisp and a beverage station!

See!

Dinner and a show....Charlie Brown and the gang came out to dance and sing while we enjoyed our food! I thought that was really awesome!
JoJo....not so much!

Whats a Holiday Festival without Santa?

I love this lil man!

Pancake Crazy

Some of you know what a crazy picky eater JoJo is. One thing he never refuses is pancakes, french toast and waffles.....and chocolate of course!
Anyhow this morning per his usual request I made pancakes and was wondering of fun ways to make pancakes aside from the silver dollar and mickey mouse variety.
Voila, I found this......
This mom poured pancake mix in a empty and washed ketchup bottle. How cool is that?

I bet you can guess I'll be saving my next condiment container!
Its also a great way to help teach your kid his name. The possibilities are endless.
Now lets see how long before my husband tries to draw a hot rod with flames!

MMMMmmmm

Sometimes being a sneaky brat who solicits her Christmas present early bites me in the butt, LOL! J.R. got me a new Iphone for Christmas (already been in my possession for a week) and I love it dearly....wouldnt trade it for the world.....no really he actually demands that I put it down and pay attention to him, LOL!
However one of my dear customers just gave me a sample of Lady Million perfume by Pacco Rabanne and it made my heart soar, LOL! Ok that was cheesy but I thought I'd share it with you ladies because it is my new favorite! i wonder how many times i can go ask for samples at Macy's?
Well at least I know what to ask for my birthday!
GO SMELL IT!
